What's happening this weekend.

Hello friends...

This is a great weekend for local shows -- so we'll start off a little bit ahead of ourselves with the Ghosts of a Modern Man gig on Friday night at the Distrikt. I always get excited to see shows at the former State, because it's a great venue that doesn't seem to get used as much as it should. Anyway, Wardoves opens. Ghosts is a great Regina rock band -- check them out. You will be glad you did.

As for Thursday tonight, here are some ideas......

-- Latefallen with special guests Jar, The Distrikt.
-- Over at the Exchange. Eleye de Cuba Farewell Fiesta, potluck and music, admission $10.00 at the door with hurricane donations graciously accepted.
-- Stephanie Thomson begins a three-night run at The Punp.
-- Matrimony -N- Cheese at McNally's. $5.

On Friday....

-- Amnesty International Small Places "Open Mic Night" - The Club, 7:00pm - 11:30pm, admission by donation, www.smallplaces.ca.
-- Stephanie Thomson plays night two of a three-night run at The Pump.
-- Bel Riose at O'Hanlons.
-- Autism Fundraiser featuring performances by Valdy, Ben Winoski, Rene Dumont, Brandi Young, and more at The Hungarian Club. Cocktails start at 6:30pm; Dinner will be at 7:00pm. $30. For tickets call Kevin at 565-3515 or email info@TheCaseyFoundation.org.
-- Bonnie Tyler at Casino Regina Show Lounge, 8 pm.

On Saturday....

-- Rah Rah CD release - The Exchange, 8:00pm - 11:45pm. www.myspace.com/rahrahband. Three Hoolies perform too.
-- Stephanie Thomson finishes her three-night run at The Pump.
-- The Magic of Ireland at Casino Regina Show Lounge, 8 pm.

On Sunday....

-- Zandra Productions presents: Cryptopsy, Origin, The Last Felony, The Fifth Dawn - The Exchange, 6:30pm - 11:30pm, Tickets $15 in advance at Vintage Vinyl, Madame Yes, Gil-Tee's, Planet Caravan, CD Plus, Zeus
-- Brandy Moore at the Wascana Park Outdoor Bandshell.
-- Withdrawal, guests - The Club, 7:30pm - 11:30pm
